Idera gets extension to Merck & Co deal but loses Novartis

An extension to Merck & Co and Idera Pharmaceuticals' toll-like receptor (TLR) research agreement failed to stop the latter company's share price from falling on November 25th after Novartis terminated its asthma and allergy research deal.

Novartis paid Idera $4 million up front in May...
