Oscient forced into cuts to conserve cash

Oscient Pharmaceuticals will eliminate around 180 positions and shelve the promotion of its marketed products to conserve cash. The restructuring is the company's second this year after it recently noted that it cannot fund operations beyond the third quarter without additional cash.
