Dainippon Sumitomo to pay $2.6 billion for Sepracor

Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma (DSP) has become the latest mid-sized Japanese drugs firm to bolster its US presence through acquisition. It is to pay $2.6 billion for the respiratory and CNS specialist Sepracor in a deal set to kick-start its international expansion and shore up its pipeline.
