United Therapeutics' oral treprostinil has failed its pivotal Phase III trial, FREEDOM-C, testing it as an adjunctive treatment in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
The announcement, which came in conjunction with an unveiling of a $150million licensing deal to commercialise Lilly's PAH drug, tadalafil, nevertheless drove shares down by 36%, closing at $58.62, a 52-week low, on November 17th...
