US's popularity as the market for first launch grows, Tufts finds

The number of new drugs that are marketed first in the US continues to climb, a recent analysis by Boston-based Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development found.
During 2005-07, the most recent period for which information was available, the number of approved NCEs marketed first in the US reached an all-time high of 75%, the analysis found. This was a marked change from a low of 20% during the 1987-90 period. Around 1996-98, it had been 50%...
