Alkermes is to file a sNDA with the US FDA for its injectable once-monthly naltrexone formulation Vivitrol in the first half of 2010, for the treatment of opioid addiction, after it was shown to increase the rates of opioid-free urine screens of patients in a Phase III placebo-controlled study.
