The European Commission has approved Pfizer's intravenous formulation of its phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor Revatio (sildenafil, also known as Viagra for the treatment of erectile dysfunction) for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
