Changes to the prescribing advice for Sanofi-Aventis's long-acting insulin analogue Lantus (insulin glargine) in the EU are not necessary at this time as data linking it to an increased risk of cancer are inconclusive, the EU's CHMP concluded after a review of currently available information.
